Retail Pricing is Kinda Messed Up
Yeah. So I was just looking into what it would take to get ISBNs for The Gauntlet and Blood and Brotherhood (which would allow me to sell them in places like Amazon.com), and at first glance, the wholesale/retail pricing system really offends me. I’ve always kind of had it in the back of my head that I’d eventually be buying ISBNs for all my books, but it seems like I’d have to raise my book’s prices and lower my revenue, which is no good for anyone. I definitely care more about the raised prices part, of course…if I were in this for the money, I wouldn’t be self-publishing at all.
Anyway, the point is that I’m going to be keeping sales of the books exclusive to this site for a while longer…for the foreseeable future, in fact. I’m sure there’s more to this ISBN stuff if I looked at it more closely, but for now, School Kids SG is only available through…School Kids SG. Heh.
